The Montreal Canadiens organization has decided to change the plan before the next game, which will be played against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and this comes from MSL.

Martin St-Louis, possibly to reward his players, decided to give everyone the day off today.

Following another nice win, this time against the Anaheim Ducks, the players will be able to rest and spend time with their loved ones.

We love it.

Martin St-Louis decides to give everyone the day off today

See what the excellent journalist Stu Cowan reports.

"Head coach Martin St-Louis gives his players the day off on Tuesday.

No practice in Brossard.

They will practice Wednesday morning in Brossard and face the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday night at the Bell Centre."

- Stu Cowan

Personally, I think it's a very nice little gesture, and I already can't wait to see the team back in action Thursday night at the Bell Centre, against Sidney Crosby's group.

After yesterday's victory in a shootout, the Montreal Canadiens are still in last place in the Eastern Conference (28th overall in the NHL standings), but Martin St-Louis's team is only four points away from a playoff spot.

A win for the Habs against the Penguins on Thursday could really make things interesting.

To be continued.

We expect Samuel Montembeault to be in net for his team on Thursday night, and we expect Cayden Primeau to have to wait again.

It seems obvious.. Martin St-Louis no longer trusts his current backup goalie, and a solution will eventually have to emerge.
