Unseen on TV: Martin St-Louis' Reaction to Lane Hutson's First Career Goal Goes Viral
We experienced a beautiful moment during the first period of the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets.
Young Lane Hutson finally scored his first career goal in the National Hockey League, and it truly created a magical scene.
We were just talking about the instant reaction of Cole Caufield and also Mike Matheson:
But that's not all.
We didn't see it on TV at the time, but head coach Martin St-Louis also had a very special reaction following Lane Hutson's goal.
A truly remarkable reaction that says a lot.
A magical scene on the Montreal Canadiens bench following Lane Hutson's goal
It's rare to see a head coach react like this after a goal, but in this case, it was simply perfect.
Check out the footage:
It's well-deserved for Lane Hutson, and it's heartwarming to see such a reaction on the Montreal Canadiens bench.
It speaks volumes and could provide a little magical spark for several players.
Lane Hutson, 20 years old, has already amassed 20 points in 29 games this season, including 19 assists, and he is clearly a steal from the 2022 NHL Draft.
Let's not forget he was selected 62nd overall by the Canadiens, in a draft held in Montreal, no less.
I like his chances of being named the best rookie of the 2024-2025 season if he keeps playing like this.
