It can be said that it's a bad day for the Montreal Canadiens. A very, very bad day.

Just seconds after learning that defenseman Kaiden Guhle suffered from an upper-body injury, likely from the hit from Adrian Kempe, the Canadiens announced that Kaiden Guhle is injured, and the organization released an official statement:

Now, young Juraj Slafkovsky has just gotten injured. It's unbelievable!

It appears to be a left shoulder injury for Slafkovsky, sustained during the morning practice when he simply took a shot.

See the footage:

Injuries for Kaiden Guhle, Mike Matheson, and Juraj Slafkovsky

Let's also remember that Matheson did not finish last night's game and that he is also injured.

The injuries to Matheson and Guhle explain the call-up of young defenseman Logan Mailloux from the Laval Rocket.

If we add up the poor performance against the Los Angeles Kings, Matheson's injury, Guhle's injury, and now Slafkovsky's injury I have a feeling that head coach Martin St-Louis will not be in a good mood at the press conference later (and rightfully so).

The past few hours have been very difficult for the Montreal Canadiens.

So, we have several situations to monitor, and rest assured, we will keep you updated with the details and developments to the second!
