We just witnessed a worrisome scene, live from Brossard, involving Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach.

One of the key factors that could make all the difference for Martin St-Louis' team this season is having a healthy Kirby Dach for 82 games.

A good scare for Kirby Dach

Just moments ago, during the very first intra-squad game of training camp, Dach gave us a good scare when he took a stick directly to the face.

Let's just try to get through a Canadiens training camp game without injuries, please. Can we not hit Kirby Dach in the face right now, please?

Kirby Dach takes a stick to the face during the game. He's not happy but seems fine to return to the bench.

It's always concerning, especially with the risk of a concussion - and we know a concussion would be terrible for Dach right now - but it appears he's OK.

We'll keep you updated if anything changes.

Check out the footage of the incident:

Kirby Dach, 23 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 217-pound forward. He was the third overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2019 (1st round) and recorded 2 points in less than 2 games last season with the Canadiens.

In 2022-23, he tallied 38 points in 58 games with the Habs.
