Extremely rare scene: Patrick Roy has just obtained special permission from the Canadiens
As Patrick Roy makes his big return tonight at the Bell Centre, against the Montreal Canadiens of course, everything is under the media's scrutiny.
Some interesting details have been noticed, and here's a great example.
Special Permission for Patrick Roy Before the Game Against the Habs
See what Arpon Basu, from The Athletic, noted:
« Normally the visiting coaches have to do the perilous walk across the Bell Centre ice to get to the bench. I guess having your name and number hanging from the rafters comes with some privileges.»
« Didn't realize the video didn't catch it, but the Isles coaching staff came out of the Canadiens tunnel and onto their bench. A rarity.»
Another nice gesture from the Canadiens organization towards Roy, and obviously, this too:
What class! Bravo to the Habs, sincerely!
