There has been a transaction within the organizational chart of the Montreal Canadiens in the last few minutes, involving the Trois-Rivières Lions.

Quebec defenseman Marc-Antoine Pepin changes address via trade

Indeed, the Trois-Rivières Lions, an affiliate team of the Canadiens in the ECHL, have traded the rights of Quebec defenseman Marc-Antoine Pepin to the Fort Wayne Komets, in return for financial compensation.

He had notably performed well at the recent Toronto Maple Leafs camp.

Good luck Marc-Antoine! » - Trois-Rivières Lions

Pepin, a right-handed defenseman standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 189 pounds, originally from Trois-Rivières, has accumulated one point in 12 games this season.

Only 22 years old and a product of the LHJMQ, he is especially recognized for his defensive prowess and robustness.

He had amassed 24 points in 32 games with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in 2022. Details to follow.

It would have been interesting to see him at the Montreal Canadiens rookie camp next fall, but we must now forget the idea.
