A major shakeup in the standings!
While things had been going quite poorly for them for a while, we've just witnessed a turnaround, and now they're back in the thick of the race for the 2024 NHL playoffs.
The Islanders are one point away from the playoffs, as of this morning.
With last night's loss by the Washington Capitals, combined with Patrick Roy's team's victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, the Islanders are indeed just a small point away from the playoffs, the Capitals, and the last spot for entry into the spring dance.
It will be really interesting to watch until the end of the season.
It would be so intriguing to see Patrick Roy and the Islanders fight in the playoffs. I feel like they could cause a surprise and that it could be a great story.
