Jeff Petry Makes a Bold Comment on Samuel Montembeault and it's Causing a Stir
While the fate of the Pittsburgh Penguins is currently 100% in the hands of the Montreal Canadiens, defenseman Jeff Petry has just made a comment that is going viral on the web.
He was asked about his confidence in Samuel Montembeault.
"Jeff Petry on his former Montreal teammate Sam Montembeault, the starting goaltender for the Canadiens tonight:
"He has the ability to shut the door. So I just hope he has a good game."
Via Pittsburgh journalist Seth Rorabaugh
Indeed, let's remember that, in order to give the Penguins a chance to participate in the 2023 playoffs, the Habs absolutely have to beat the Islanders tonight.
Petry and his teammates are rooting for the Habs tonight!
Petry, 35, has collected 31 points (5 goals) this season, his first in Pittsburgh. He doesn't seem to have had a campaign that lived up to expectations.
