What happened? Good question, but the fact is that the Seattle Kraken just made a strange announcement involving the young Shane Wright.
As we reported last night, Wright finally got his long-awaited call-up from the AHL.
This generated a big wave of excitement, and many Montreal Canadiens fans were especially eager to see how his progress compared to Juraj Slafkovsky.
Not so fast.
It didn't take long.
Before even playing a single game with the Kraken, Wright has already been sent back to the AHL. He must wait again.
"The Kraken have recalled forward Tye Kartye from Coachella Valley and sent forward Shane Wright back to the Firebirds.
- Seattle Kraken" There you have it.
Wright, 19 years old, has accumulated 16 points, including 9 goals, in 18 games this season. He was drafted 4th overall in 2022.
