There has been some speculation for the excellent defenseman Sam Dickinson, but in light of what Kent Hughes stated last night in an interview with Pierre LeBrun, it will clearly be a forward.
In an article from TVA Sports, it is understood that it would indeed be between four players for the Canadiens' first pick, including a surprise.
According to most experts, Sennecke at fifth overall would be quite a surprise, but he remains a very intriguing talent.
One thing is certain, we would be extremely surprised if the Canadiens select another name (than the four mentioned above) with their fifth overall pick, especially with the information we have currently.
Cayden Lindstrom, 18 years old, 6 feet 3 inches, and 210 pounds, has amassed 46 points in 32 games this season in the WHL.
Tij Iginla, 17 years old, 6 feet, and 186 pounds, has amassed 84 points in 64 games this season in the WHL.
Beckett Sennecke, 18 years old, 6 feet 2 inches, and 175 pounds, has amassed 68 points in 63 games this season, but he really progressed at the end of the season. (He notably collected 22 points in 16 playoff games in the OHL.)
Ivan Demidov, 18 years old, 5 feet 11 inches, and 185 pounds, has amassed 60 points in 30 games this season in the MHL.
To be continued, but these are four excellent young hockey players, and four excellent forwards. Who is your favorite at the moment?
