Kent Hughes acquires two young forwards, including Logan Sawyer
The Montreal Canadiens have just acquired two more young forwards.
After adding Aatos Koivu, a name obviously well known to fans:
Now Kent Hughes has announced the selection of young Logan Sawyer.
Logan Sawyer is drafted by the Montreal Canadiens
We're talking about a 6-foot-1, 173-pound left-handed forward.
«With the 78th overall pick, the Canadiens select forward Logan Sawyer from the Brooks Bandits in the BCHL.» - Montreal Canadiens
Sawyer, a center, amassed 78 points in 59 games this season with the Brooks Bandits.
Journalist Anthony Martineau from TVA Sports just did an excellent quick profile of Sawyer.
«Logan Sawyer.
A forward named the most valuable player of the last BCHL playoffs.
7 goals and 8 assists in 12 games.
Very good hockey IQ. Can make plays at high speed.
Smooth skater who protects his puck well.
Oh yes He speaks French.»
- Via Anthony Martineau
So far, the Habs' four picks in this 2024 draft have been four forwards (Ivan Demidov, Michael Hage, Koivu, and Sawyer).
The message is clear. Details will follow.
