The Montreal Canadiens acquire Saku Koivu's son Aatos
Following the selections of Ivan Demidov (5th overall pick) and Michael Hage (21st overall pick), Kent Hughes continues his incredible streak by adding the young Koivu.
And yes, he is the son of Saku Koivu! Wow!
«With the 70th overall pick, the Canadiens select forward Aatos Koivu from the TPS junior.» - Montreal Canadiens
And that's not all. Kent Hughes and the Habs will make another acquisition in the next few seconds, as the Canadiens also hold the 78th overall pick in this 2024 draft.
Going back to Koivu, what a story!
«Aatos Koivu, the son of the former CH captain, now finds himself in the same organization as his famous father, drafted in 1993.
He did not make the trip to Vegas.» - Luc Gélinas, RDS
