Following a severe back injury, Mark Stone had to undergo two surgeries in just nine months. At the time, some even thought his career could be jeopardized due to the severity of his injury. However, he returned to the game and played a crucial role for the Golden Knights in their conquest of their very first Stanley Cup, scoring a hat trick in Game #5 of the final.
The 31-year-old forward had simply remarkable playoff series, with a tally of 11 goals and 13 assists (24 points) in 22 games. However, on his podcast 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman made a major statement regarding the health status of the Golden Knights' captain.
