In the last few hours, the Montreal Canadiens organization has released a new official statement to update on injured players.

See the latest official developments for Christian Dvorak and Kaiden Guhle. This confirms the information that was circulating this morning.

«Kaiden Guhle practiced before his teammates, accompanied by the Canadiens' Director of Hockey Development, Adam Nicholas. The 21-year-old defenseman is being evaluated daily for an upper-body injury.

Christian Dvorak, who has not played any games so far this season, wore a regular training jersey suggesting he could once again take hits. The forward underwent knee surgery last March. The team announced during training camp that he should not be able to officially return to play before November.

The Canadiens will host the Washington Capitals at the Bell Centre on Saturday. The puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m."

Montreal Canadiens

Two excellent pieces of news given the circumstances! It feels good!

Martin St-Louis did not want to confirm that Justin Barron will be inserted into the lineup tomorrow against the Caps, which seems to indicate that Kaiden Guhle has a real chance of playing. (although it might be better to be a bit more cautious)

More details to come.

Full statement.
