Major: The Montreal Canadiens just lost a player indefinitely
Here's a major piece of news we weren't expecting.
The Montreal Canadiens just announced that forward Christian Dvorak is injured in the upper body and will be out for an indefinite period. Ouch.
"Christian Dvorak will not play tonight (upper body injury). He will need to undergo more thorough examinations." - Montreal Canadiens
It will therefore take some time before the exact length of his absence is known, but it seems to be long-term.
With Dvorak's absence, we should probably expect to see Sean Monahan and Jake Evans on separate lines, which could disrupt Martin St-Louis's line combinations.
Dvorak, 27 years old, has accumulated 7 points in 25 games this season with the Habs (3 goals), after having totaled 28 points in 64 games last season. (10 goals)
Details will follow, but a recall from the Laval Rocket is definitely something to watch out for.
