The worst is confirmed for Joshua Roy as he will be out long term
We have just learned more details about the injury suffered by Joshua Roy. It ultimately wasn't too long, but the forward has received his diagnosis, and the news is not good.
Joshua Roy season in the NHL is over. He's out 4 to 6 weeks. Could be back playing for the Rocket if the Habs farm team is still playing in a little more than a month or so.- Renaud Lavoie
See the official statement from the Habs:
"Forward Joshua Roy will miss four to six weeks of activity due to an upper body injury."
- Montreal Canadiens
Roy, 20 years old, thus ends his season with a tally of nine points (four goals) in 23 games. He has made a very good impression and he can be proud of himself.
His replacement in the lineup, for the moment at least, is Tanner Pearson, but it's Rafaël-Harvey-Pinard who has taken the spot on the second line, that of Alex Newhook.
We're hoping for a quick and full recovery for Roy!
