As part of a major announcement released in the last few minutes, Hockey Canada has announced that all players from Team Canada Junior 2018 are suspended INDEFINITELY from international competitions.

And that is, until further notice.

This was announced a few minutes after the London police press conference:

This means that a player like Cale Makar, for example, would not even be able to represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Games if the suspension is not lifted by then. (even though he is not accused of anything)

This is likely to cause a lot of talks, especially since the trial will probably not be finished by 2026.

As for a possible NHL suspension for the five targeted players, we are still waiting.

"Hockey Canada has fully cooperated with the London Police Service and the organization will continue to support the judicial process." - Hockey Canada

Hockey Canada says ALL players from 2018 world junior team, following appeal, remain ineligible to represent Canada internationally. So, as of now, that means no Cale Makar or Robert Thomas at worlds or Olympics. NHL's 4 Nations Face-off next week is league rules so they can play

Do you think this is a good decision?
