We have just learned that a new NHL team is about to be put up for sale, and possibly already sold.

It's rare to see this in a professional league, but many NHL teams have been sold�or are about to be�within a very short period.

This is a bad sign for Gary Bettman, and it raises serious questions.

Earlier this morning, we learned that the St. Louis Blues were partially sold, but that's not all.

This is even more significant.

For a potential buyer like Pierre Karl Péladeau, who has been seeking opportunities with the National Hockey League for a while, this becomes interesting.

We do not know the identity of this "other NHL club" that is in the process of selling, but clearly, there's a lot of movement in NHL.

Could this eventually open a door for Quebec?

If the sales and property transfers continue at this pace, one might think so.
