In the last few minutes, and after his dangerous hit last night, the National Hockey League made an announcement involving the giant Matt Rempe.
Matt Rempe of the New York Rangers will have a hearing today for elbowing Jonas Siegenthaler of New Jersey."
- NHL Player Safety Department No more than 5 games suspension for Matt Rempe
Indeed, this is what the phone hearing has confirmed:
It's a phone hearing, so it will be 5 games or less of suspension." - Pierre LeBrun, TSN
This is interesting for Montreal Canadiens fans, because last night, several journalists believed he was going to be suspended for 10 to 15 games:
With such a suspension, Rempe would have been suspended for the next match between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers.
He would have thus missed his much-anticipated meeting with the Sheriff himself.
But knowing that Rempe will be suspended (at most) for five games, well, Arber Xhekaj can still hope to face him.
Do you think this battle will take place? Do you hope it does?
Personally, I believe it would be a good show, but at the same time, Arber Xhekaj is above all this.
