A young player with an extremely rare physique is arriving in North America.

He is likely to attract the attention of NHL teams, including, of course, the Montreal Canadiens.

We are talking about young defenseman Alexander Karmanov, who is only 16 years old but already stands 7 feet tall!

You read that correctly.

Some sites report him as 7 feet, while others list him as 6 feet 11 inches, but you get the idea.

He is extremely tall and extremely massive (251 pounds), especially for a young man who is just 16 years old.

In the past few minutes, it was announced that Karmanov has signed with Penn State, a college ice hockey program representing Pennsylvania State University.

We will definitely hear more about him!

Last season, across three different U16 and U18 championships, Karmanov amassed 9 points in 18 games.

See a video of Karmanov, a video from three years ago! (He was 13 years old at the time)

And a video from 2023:

Yes, he is quite easy to spot, let's say.

Will he eventually become the tallest player in the history of the National Hockey League? (Surpassing Zdeno Chara)

To be continued, but he is certainly going to be talked about in the coming years.
