Kuznetsov could be playing on Ivan Demidov's line soon according to report
We have just received a major announcement regarding the young Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov.
Apparently, he could be playing with a familiar face next season, as forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has reportedly signed a contract with SKA Saint Petersburg. Wow.
Evgeny Kuznetsov with Ivan Demidov and SKA?
This would mean the end of his time in the National Hockey League.
«Evgeny Kuznetsov had one last year left on his contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, but it seems he won't be playing in the NHL next season.
The Russian forward is expected to terminate his contract with the Raleigh team to sign a four-year deal with SKA Saint Petersburg. This was reported by the Russian media championat.com.»

It would be a significant contract.

He would thus forgo $7.8 million to set sail and continue his career in his homeland.
For many reasons, this is major news for Montreal Canadiens prospect Ivan Demidov, who could gain a line partner with extensive NHL experience and a Stanley Cup, but who could also lose a spot to him.
A situation to follow for Habs fans.
Kuznetsov, 32, was the 26th overall pick by the Washington Capitals in 2010 (1st round) and has amassed 575 points in 743 career NHL games.
In 2023-24, he recorded 24 points in 63 games with the Washington Capitals and the Carolina Hurricanes. (7 in 20 with the Canes)
He added 6 points in 10 games during the 2024 playoffs.
Kuznetsov also collected 55 points in 81 games in 2022-23 and 78 points in 79 games in 2021-22.
