Two New Players Hit Waivers Including Veteran Goalie Who Could Potentially Replace Primeau
We have more action on the NHL waiver wire, and once again, interesting news for Montreal Canadiens fans.
First, note that goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen has been claimed by the Winnipeg Jets!
Kahkonen, 28, is a 6-foot-2, 217-pound goaltender. Over his NHL career, in 140 games, he has a save percentage close to .900 and a record of 49-68-15.
With all eyes on Primeau, who could be replaced at any moment by the Canadiens' management, a veteran goaltender has just become available for free today.
A veteran who could serve as a Jake Allen type for Montreal.
