You've been asking for this for quite some time now and it was indeed discussed last night on TVA Sports.

"Should the Canadiens acquire Nicolas Deslauriers to be respected by their opponents?"

It was Le Baron, Alain Chantelois, who discussed this last night during his segment on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show.

He believes that Montreal misses Deslauriers, and he's not wrong.

"Michael Pezzetta is a middleweight, while Deslauriers is a heavyweight and he knows how to score!" - Le Baron

JiC completely agreed with his veteran columnist.

"Ryan Reaves and Milan Lucic will laugh in our faces all year! They respect Arber Xhekaj, but not Pezzetta," added Lajoie.

Do you agree with them?

Would you like Kent Hughes to make this trade with the Philadelphia Flyers to bring back Deslauriers?

After all, it would take a lot of pressure off Arber Xhekaj and could reduce his risk of injury (in addition to tempering the enthusiasm of opposing players).

Let's also remember that Deslauriers was very interested in signing with the Montreal Canadiens in the summer of 2022, but Philadelphia simply offered him a better contract!

Go, Kent Hughes! The opportunity is there!

Deslauriers, 32 years old, from La Salle in Quebec, accumulated 12 points and 136 penalty minutes last season.
