Despite a remarkable regular season, Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark has received a lot of criticism from Bruins fans as he has been quite ordinary in the series against the Florida Panthers.

He was even left out for the decisive game of the series, and now a journalist assigned to cover the Bruins has made a major statement about Ullmark's future in Boston.

As reported by Habsolumentfan.com, Jimmy Murphy, from Boston Hockey Now, mentioned that some NHL teams would have shown interest in the Bruins' goalie in recent months.

"Teams made calls about Ullmark last summer, and I can tell you they at least listened to the offers on Ullmark because the team I was working for at the time was one of the teams calling. We thought why not try after he had a fragile playoff series and they had Swayman on the rise with his contract, until this offseason. Ullmark is at a salary that works for most teams. I could see him moving this summer."

Even though Don Sweeney has so far resisted the temptation to trade his young goalie, it could very well be a different story during the off-season as Ullmark's value has never been higher.

It should be noted that the Bruins also have an excellent second goalie in Jeremy Swayman who could very well take over from Ullmark, if the latter were to leave Boston during the summer.

While we are still far from this scenario, it will be interesting to follow this case with great interest in the coming months, and who knows, maybe Kent Hughes could give his Bruins counterpart a call to discuss a possible transaction.
