Montreal Canadiens skip on talented first round pick: an intriguing opportunity with Grigori Denisenko
Yesterday, we had a big surprise on the NHL waivers when the very talented Grigori Denisenko was made completely available.
Obviously, many fans from various teams want their leader to take advantage of the opportunity to get him for free.
Well, the verdict is about to come in!
At 2 p.m. today, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens skipped the opportunity to pick up the one who has been compared to Nikita Kucherov by several experts.
The Vegas Golden Knights were the ones that picked him up from waivers.
Denisenko, the 15th overall pick in 2018, broke several records in his native country, and his arrival in North America was highly anticipated.
He collected about twenty points in 30 games in 2021-22 as well as 36 points in 56 games last season in the AHL.
He also accumulated 18 points in the World Junior Hockey Championship.
