Special official announcement from the Red Wings regarding Jeff Petry, and it didn't take long
In the last few minutes, and a few hours after the official announcement of the trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings involving defenseman Jeff Petry, the Red Wings have released a special official statement.
Wow! Petry will wear the number 46 in Detroit, just like his father.
We love it, and it reminds us of how Kent Hughes displayed great class by trading Petry to his home, where he wanted to play the most in the world.
The Petry family must be extremely happy today!
Recap of the complete trade:
"The Canadiens acquire defenseman Gustav Lindström and a conditional 4th-round pick in 2025 in exchange for defenseman Jeff Petry."
- Montreal Canadiens
Wishing them all the best going forward!
