Trade between the Canadiens and the Red Wings: a former scout would accept this trade proposal
In the last few minutes via his official page, the always very entertaining and interesting Grant McCagg, former scout, has proposed a trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings.
This is a trade offer he would accept.
If Detroit offered picks number 9 and 17 to move up to the 5th overall pick, I would bite. Having a top ten pick, two top 20s, and three first-round picks for the first time in the same draft since Sam Pollock was the general manager wouldn't be a bad thing.
- Grant McCagg
Let's remember, of course, that there are several rumors that Steve Yzerman would really like to get his hands on Matvei Michkov.
And you, would you do it?
IN MONTREAL:
2023 Overall pick #9
2023 Overall pick #17
IN DETROIT:
2023 Overall pick #5
Personally, we would accept if, and only if, Adam Fantilli, Will Smith, and Leo Carlsson are no longer available, and if Kent Hughes doesn't want Matvei Michkov.
And you?
McCagg adds that he would target one of the following players with the 9th overall pick, by making this trade: Leonard, Dvorsky, Reinbacher.
