Two new players have just been released, including a name you know well: the Montreal Canadiens might consider them for the Laval Rocket
Roster moves continue to take place across the National Hockey League as the season opener is just days away.
Following the wave of players placed on the NHL's waiver list earlier today, two more players have now been released and are available.
We're talking about Nathan Beaulieu, former Montreal Canadiens player, and goaltender Michael Hutchinson.
Beaulieu, 30, is a 6-foot-2 defenseman who has played 471 career games in the NHL (98 points and 340 penalty minutes).
The Canadiens' 1st round pick in 2011 played 52 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season.
Hutchinson, 33, is a 6-foot-3 goaltender who has nevertheless played 153 career games in the NHL, with a .902 save percentage and a 2.93 goals-against average (57 wins and 61 losses).
He played 16 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season.
