The Buffalo Sabres are going to buy out the contract of forward Jeff Skinner, making him a free agent as of next Monday!

Jeff Skinner is the 7th overall pick of the 2010 draft (1st round) and is a 6-foot, 200-pound winger.
Last season, he collected 24 goals and 46 points, after accumulating 35 goals and 82 points in 2023.
Over the past three seasons, Skinner has tallied 24, 35, and 33 goals with the Buffalo Sabres.
He also scored 40 goals in 2019.
This is a story to watch, and an additional option for Kent Hughes on attack.
It's still a surprising decision from the Sabres because Skinner is still very good, but we imagine that his nearly 10-million-dollar-a-year contract was becoming a burden for them.
At 4 million a year, he is a solid player for your team, but at 9 million dollars a year, less so.
Several sources have confirmed to me that the Sabres will buy out the last 3 years of Skinner's contract, barring an unexpected trade.
