For the past few weeks, the name of young Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras has been constantly coming up in trade rumors, but he is injured.

And it's very rare to see an injured player get traded.

However, just a few hours before the NHL's trade deadline, Zegras is back on the ice.

An imminent return to play confirmed for Zegras!

See what Félix Sicard reports:

"Trevor Zegras was back on the ice, in full uniform, at Great Park Ice this morning. Great sign."

Nearly two months after the ankle injury he sustained, Zegras is back!

Does this imminent return to play mean that the trade speculation will resume? To be continued, but it's hard to believe it will calm down because there has been a lot of smoke in this case over the past few weeks.

Journalists from Montreal, Anaheim, and all over the NHL have all linked Zegras to the Canadiens in recent weeks.

So, we are looking forward to seeing him in action again.

At 22 years old, Trevor Zegras was a 1st round pick (9th overall) in 2019. So far this season, he has recorded a tally of 4 goals and 3 assists for a total of 7 points, in 20 games, after collecting 61 and 65 points in his last two seasons. He has 3 years left on his contract, earning him an average of 5.75 million dollars per year.
