Last night, we reported that the Carolina Hurricanes have signed a bargain contract with Quebecois forward Max Comtois.

It's a two-way, one-year contract with an annual value of $775,000 NHL / $250,000 AHL. It's a steal.

At the bottom of the above article, we asked whether you would have liked Kent Hughes to sign this contract with Max Comtois.

We agree that the risk is non-existent.

You answered "YES" at 55%, so it will be a great opportunity for the Canadiens to take a chance and acquire Comtois for free, at the minimum NHL salary, through waivers.

Comtois, 25 years old and from Longueuil, has accumulated 86 points (38 goals) in 210 career NHL games, including a season where he was his team's top scorer at the age of 21.

In the AHL this season, he has accumulated 28 points in 45 games.

Do you think the CH should claim him?
