We already have an interesting development regarding the Montreal Canadiens' new acquisition, Alexandre Carrier.

Let's recall that he was just acquired from the Nashville Predators in exchange for young defenseman Justin Barron.

Following this acquisition, many keen observers pointed out that Carrier is currently on the injured reserve list.

Well, not for much longer.

The Canadiens will remove Alexandre Carrier's name from the injured reserve list

This has just been announced and confirmed by the organization.

This was the missing piece of information, which has now been confirmed. The Canadiens will officially remove his name from the IR.

As a result, we could see him in uniform as early as this Friday against the Detroit Red Wings.

Alexandre Carrier, 28 years old, hails from Quebec City, Quebec, and has played 28 games this season with the Nashville Predators.

He was a regular defenseman there, shoots right-handed, and has had very strong seasons recently:

30 points in 77 games in 2022 (+26 rating)

20 points in 73 games in 2023-24 (+7 rating)

He is under contract until 2027, earning $3.75 million per year.
