Islanders Shockingly Place Two Forwards on Waivers After Roy Criticized the Entire Team Yesterday
We have more action on the NHL waiver wire today, and there's a big surprise. As reported by multiple sources, including the reputable Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet, the New York Islanders have shocked many people today.
They've placed two of their regular forwards on waivers! Wow.
Oliver Wahlstrom and Pierre Engvall on NHL waivers
Lou Lamoriello clearly wants to send a strong message.

These are two names to consider for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, who currently have the fourth priority for claiming players on waivers (based on their position in the NHL standings).
Wahlstrom, an 11th overall pick in 2018, was seen as a future star in the NHL.
However, as of today, he has a modest 36 goals and 35 assists (71 points) in 220 NHL games.
This season, Wahlstrom has 4 points in 27 games with Patrick Roy's squad.
Engvall, a 188th overall pick in 2014, is a big forward at 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds.
As of today, he has 60 goals and 66 assists (111 points) in 338 career NHL games.
This season, Engvall has 6 points in 20 games with Patrick Roy's squad.
