PLAY GM: would you accept this trade offer to acquire Zegras in MTL?

Trevor Zegras' name has frequently been linked to the Canadiens and Kent Hughes through trade, and today there's some new information.

We now know what the Anaheim Ducks are looking for and what might interest them.

Pat Verbeek (Ducks' GM) has publicly confirmed that he is looking for a right-handed defenseman and a right-handed forward.

Journalist Mathias Brunet, from La Presse, is convinced that Kent Hughes will not trade his right-hander David Reinbacher. However, to acquire a significant impact player like Zegras, he suggests involving Logan Mailloux.

Mailloux is a right-handed defenseman.

Zegras, 23 years old, 9th overall pick (1st round in 2019), has accumulated 154 points in 211 career NHL games, including 15 points in 31 games this season.

He earns $5.75 million per year until 2026.

Mailloux, 21 years old, 31st overall pick (1st round in 2021), has accumulated 1 point in 1 career NHL game, and 47 points in 72 games with the Laval Rocket.

He is on his rookie contract until 2026.

Armia, 30 years old, 16th overall pick (1st round in 2011), has accumulated 178 points in 505 career NHL games, including 25 points in 66 games this season.

He earns $3.4 million per year until 2025 as the fourth leading scorer for the Montreal Canadiens in 2023-24.
