Imminent Relocation for the Coyotes? Gary Bettman Just Made an Announcement
Just a few hours after receiving a real slap in the face in the Arizona Coyotes case, the commissioner of the National Hockey League, Gary Bettman, made an announcement.
"Statement from NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman regarding the outcome of the Tempe, Arizona arena vote." - NHL
An announcement and a press release that leaves many perplexed.
It's the first time that the NHL seems so resolved. It admits to being "terribly disappointed", and all options are now on the table.
It really seems like the end of the Coyotes in Arizona. This is major:
"I think it's finally over in Arizona. But it won't be Quebec. It's too complicated to send a western club to the east. Especially now that the league is balanced with 32 clubs. It will surely be Houston for the Coyotes."

Some are even talking about a possible imminent move to Houston as early as this summer. A file to follow closely.
Let's remember that in the last few hours, it was announced that the Tempe arena project would not go ahead.
