BlackHawks GM finally breaks silence on the Corey Perry Saga and the truth is now increasingly demanded by many fans
After weeks of not commenting, Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson has just broken the silence about Corey Perry.
It should be remembered that his contract was suddenly terminated by the Hawks a few weeks ago, following a "regrettable event".
Today, Davidson indeed took the time to discuss Corey Perry's situation further.
He talked about the emotional context of the events that led to all of this, making a connection.
"It wasn't easy and it's still not an easy task. You are responsible for so many players and there are consequences.
Whether it's for Corey Perry or for Kevin Korchinski, which is a very different case, you feel everything because you care about your players and you are attached to the staff members. You worry about their families too." It should be noted that the father of young Korchinski has recently tragically passed away.
Davidson also mentioned that there is no going back for Corey Perry, a problem that has been resolved and that they are now putting behind them.
"(About Corey Perry), we managed it and we got through it, and I'm glad that's in the past." - GM of the Hawks
So, we can forget the idea of a reunion between the veteran and Chicago.
In any case, it has been a tumultuous start to the season for Davidson, who is clearly looking forward now.
As you can see in the comments, fans are still demanding the truth in this matter, especially since it's starting to date, but that's not important at this stage.
Full quote:
These jobs aren't easy. You're responsible for so many people. Whether it's that (Perry) event or something very different with Kevin (Korchinski, whose father died) and his family, you feel everything, because you care about your players and your staff, and you care about their families."
"When something happens and it's a positive, you feel that in a great way. When it's a negative, you feel that in a really negative way. You carry a lot of the ups and downs of the group in your everyday job"
"(On the Corey Perry incident) We handled it and we got through it, but I'm happy it's in the past.»
