Do you remember Beau Bennett? Now retired, this former Penguins, Devils and Blues forward still keeps a very close eye on what's going on in the National Hockey League, especially the Edmonton Oilers.

Like many people, this one is indeed a very big fan of Oilers captain Connor McDavid, who keeps turning fans' heads with performances that bring him closer and closer to the greats in hockey history.

Clearly impressed with the number 97's latest performance, Bennett took to his Twitter account to give Connor McDavid the highest praise, stating that he was the most talented athlete of all time in any sport.

Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Mike Trout, Tiger Woods, Lionel Messi, Floyd Mayweather... Forget about them all. The best in history, according to Beau Bennett, is Connor McDavid.

This comment obviously seems a bit premeditated, especially talking about a young man who is only 24 years old, but it is true that we have rarely seen a player capable of scoring goals like Mcdavid did, recently, against the Rangers and the Jets.

While I think it's a little too early to mention Connor Mcdavid's name in the same sentence as the aforementioned legends, he definitely has the potential to become the greatest in the history of his sport, and perhaps the history of sports in general.

However, it is far too early to come to such a conclusion. Let's give him at least another ten or fifteen years to take his place in the Hall of Fame, despite the fact that Beau Bennett is a former Stanley Cup champion.
