With a guaranteed top-three pick in the upcoming NHL draft, Habs fans can start dreaming of a forward who could make an impact on the team in the short to medium term.
With the 2022 draft lottery taking place on Tuesday night, the Habs have a 25.5% chance of getting the very first pick and as reported by Alex Néron of Fanadiens.com, a TSN columnist went ahead and made his prediction regarding the Habs selection.
Marco D'Amico was on 91.9 Sports and he is convinced that Kent Hughes will select a forward, especially since the bank of prospects on defense is pretty well stocked with Guhle, Mailloux and Harris and Barron.
According to him, Shane Wright, Juraj Slafkovsky or Logan Cooley will be the player selected by the Habs. The columnist adds that no matter which of these three prospects is selected by Kent Hughes, he could have an impact on the team next year.
