A statement about Logan Mailloux has caused a huge reaction, Chantal Machabée is particularly targeted
It clearly wasn't the most glorious weekend for the hockey world, as the past few hours have seen disturbing, new revelations in the Hockey Canada affair, serious allegations against Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Ian Cole, and serious charges against an Edmonton Oilers' feeder coach.
Yesterday, the reporter for the very popular The Hockey News, Ian Kennedy, did a post visibly denouncing all of this (which is excellent), but he included the Logan Mailloux case in his piece.
It reads, in part:

Let's recall that Chantal Machabée recently stated that she got to know the young hopeful Mailloux. She added that she finds Mailloux very interesting and very accountable for his actions.
He is becoming, according to her, a better person.
We would tend here to trust Chantal and her judgment a lot more!
