An Oilers journalist is in disbelief over what Martin St-Louis just said during press conference
We are lucky to have a head coach like Martin St-Louis in Montreal and, clearly, it's a mutual feeling. We'll come back to this.
Martin St-Louis and his colorful statements
We have already become accustomed to St-Louis's special statements and quotes, so we don't make too much of a fuss even though it's always appreciated.
However, for journalists from outside who are visiting Montreal, it's all new and they are discovering who St-Louis really is.
In a press conference earlier today, Martin notably made the following statement. It almost gives chills because it was so sincere and heartfelt.
We asked Martin St-Louis to put into perspective what it means to play hockey on a Saturday night at the Bell Centre.
His answer:
"If it was my last day on Earth and you asked me where I would want to be, I would want to be exactly in that building, on a Saturday night." - Martin St-Louis
Via Eric Engels.
Wow! The Edmonton Oilers journalists couldn't believe it on social media.
They had never seen, at least this season, a head coach express themselves in this way. They seem to have loved it.
"As good a quote as we've heard all season!" - Mark Spector, journalist for Edmonton
And there are several comments of this kind.
In any case, St-Louis still knows how to surprise the experts! And if some doubted that he is still a huge enthusiast, this settles the matter!
