An exit that will cost the Habs dearly...

The Habs fell again last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets, but it was certainly not the game that was going to grab the attention of fans. The reason is simple, Carey Price was speaking to the media for the first time in moons!
This output certainly did not increase the value of Price in the trading market. On the opposite, a transaction seems even less likely in his case.
Not knowing if he will be able to play in the NHL does not help Kent Hughes, the Canadiens' new general manager. The other formations of the Bettman circuit that may be interested in its services will not be ready to pay the big price, especially with its huge contract.
Louis Jean, host of the TVA Sports network, is adamant about the value of Price on the market. "For me, the point is that he's questioning about his knee. So, if he comes back and starts playing again, a team interested in Carey Price thinks that after his next injury, he won't come back. So even its market value has just taken a hit,» he said.
The best that can happen then for the Habs is that Price comes back strong next year completely recovered from his injury. Thus, there could be an opportunity to exchange it with a team aspiring to great honors. However, we should not once again expect a huge return considering his contract and his health.
