The excellent Simon Boisvert was on 91.9 Sports to talk about the Montreal Canadiens' hopes on defense.
He made a ranking of the best young defensemen of the Tricolore, according to him. Strangely, Mattias Norlinder is not among them. Boisvert believes that Norlinder will not be able to establish himself as a regular back in the NHL.
Here are his rankings:
1. Justin Barron (25th overall pick 2020)
2. Kaiden Guhle (16th overall pick 2020)
3. Jordan Harris (71st overall pick 2018)
4. Logan Mailloux (31st overall pick 2021)
5. Dmitri Kostenko (87th overall pick 2021)
The good news in this list is that the acquisition of Justin Barron at the trade deadline seems like a home run for Kent Hughes. It will be interesting to follow his progress next year!
