Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews has, let's put it this way, a rather peculiar style of dress in everyday life. But as they say, to each his own.
As a reminder, the Arizona Coyotes are officially the first organization in the NHL to have removed their strict dress code for game days. Players will now be able to dress more casually for their games.
The Leafs' number 34 was asked if he would like his team's staff to move towards this type of dressing. He was adamant that he hopes the Maple Leafs will follow the lead of the Arizona Coyotes in this regard.
Will Kyle Dubas and Brendan Shanahan hear their star player's demands? Maybe being more relaxed will help him perform better in the playoffs? To be continued...
