Yesterday, in the "incredible display of courage" category, we absolutely have to tell you about Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brendan Smith.
We're talking about a player who has just recovered from a serious injury (fractured skull) and who, upon his return to the game, decides to throw down the gloves against the giant Tom Wilson, a very tough customer.
All this without his helmet... Unbelievable!
"Smith left feeling a little bloody, but he didn't back down. This is a man who has fractured his skull this season."
