In addition to commenting on Carey's case, the excellent Dr. David Mulder, who has over 50 years of experience in the CH organization, agreed to offer an update on Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin.
Dr. Mulder is certainly the best person to give an update on Drouin's condition. In an address to the media, see what the Tricolore's head doctor had to say about the issue:
Dr. Mulder explains here that it is Drouin himself who wants a second medical opinion before having surgery again. The Quebecer would really like to return to the game before the end of the season.
Either way, if the surgery goes well (whether it's done now or this summer), Drouin should be in uniform by the first game of next season, a season that (by the way) will be very important to him as he'll be in his final year of his contract.
The important thing to remember here: the CH doctors told Jonathan Drouin that he would have to have surgery immediately and end his 2021-22 season, but the Quebecer asked for a second opinion because he wants to try to return to the game before the campaign ends. In any case, he will be OK for next season.
However, Dr. Mulder is convinced that Jonathan will need surgery.
Greetings to Eric Leblanc for the excellent report. For the interesting details, it's here :
