This week's announcement regarding Carey Price continues to generate a lot of reaction, especially from the excellent Bob Hartley:

Also, there's 98.5 Sports host Mario Langlois, who recited a beautiful and emotional letter.

It's really well said and this open letter is really a superb tribute. Check out the result:

"You were a great goalie. In the opinion of everyone who has spoken to me about you and I have spoken about you on and off the air, everyone has told me that you were a great leader, a great teammate who served his team. According to these people, you were always proud to wear the blue-white-red jersey. You always wanted to be a Montreal Canadiens, that it defined who you were. You were a one-club man. A commodity that is increasingly rare today. The man of one team and your biggest disappointment was not being able to bring the Stanley Cup to Montreal.

For all that, I say thank you. I wish you happiness and especially health, that you can be a normal dad with your beautiful little girls and your wife. Being a goalie for the Montreal Canadiens is the most demanding job in hockey, in my humble opinion. Talk to anyone who has been there. Not just the ones who have carried the Cup in their arms, but the ones who have actually been there, who have sat in that chair, who have worn the pads for the Bleu-blanc-rouge. Talk to Patrick, talk to Ken Dryden. Being a Habs goalie isn't just about stopping pucks. It's about carrying the hopes of an entire nation. Happy retirement, Carey!" - Mario Langlois
