In the last few seconds, the Anaheim Ducks announced that they have awarded a professional tryout contract to defenseman Nathan Beaulieu, who is obviously known to Montreal Canadiens fans.
All indications are that this is his last opportunity in the NHL, so it will be interesting to watch.
He will have to do everything he can to earn his spot with the Ducks.
Beaulieu, 29, had four points in 24 games last season and has 94 points in 419 career NHL games (12 goals).
He was drafted in the first round (17th overall) by the CH in 2011.
He was owned by the Pittsburgh Penguins since the last trade deadline, but did not play any games with them.
More details to follow!
