For some time now, we have been talking a lot about upcoming trades for the Montreal Canadiens, because there will be some.
Ben Chiarot, Jeff Petry, and Artturi Lehkonen are attracting attention, but other players could leave.
In particular, depth defensemen are often in high demand at the trade deadline because, as we often hear, to go far in the playoffs, you can never have enough NHL-caliber defensemen.
This explains why a guy like Brett Kulak could also be in demand and possibly be traded.
As part of its text on the site Danslescoulisses.com, yesterday, Max Truman had a good overview of the situation in the league.
For the Habs, he also mentioned two other defenders: Chris Wideman and Kale Clague.
"Chris Wideman and Kale Clague are almost to give away, available for free..."
With the emergence of Corey Schueneman, who really seemed to impress Martin St-Louis, it's absolutely possible that Clague and/or Wideman could leave.
If we could get a seventh-round pick for one of them, would you do it? Do you think they will end up on waivers?
