As the general manager himself mentioned in a press conference on Friday, two young players could soon arrive as reinforcements for the Habs.
We don't have an exact date, but it could literally happen in the coming days or later this month, depending on the performances of Timra and Boston College.
We talked about Kapanen earlier this week, but Kent Hughes was also asked about goaltender Fowler.
In both cases, they could join the Montreal Canadiens or the Laval Rocket, depending on where the team stands at that point.
Kapanen's season in Sweden is literally ending in the next few hours, so everything will depend on his team's performance.
All the details are in the following press conference:
As for Jacob Fowler, Kent Hughes did not want to go too far into specifics since contract negotiations are involved. (Fowler still does not have a contract with the Canadiens, unlike Oliver Kapanen)
And we know that Hughes never discusses contracts.
However, based on his responses, we can deduce that there is a real possibility of seeing Jacob Fowler join the organization soon.
Just like Lane Hutson last year, don't be surprised if Fowler plays a game or two with the Canadiens to finish the season.
Finally, speaking of reinforcements, let's also remember that Kaiden Guhle could possibly return to help the Montreal Canadiens for the end of the season!
So, there are a few situations to watch and some possible reinforcements for Martin St-Louis' squad before the end of the 2024-2025 season.
