New to the Florida Panthers organization, forward Claude Giroux is reportedly already shopping for his next team according to what Elliotte Friedman reports in his most recent 32Thoughts.
"It's not guaranteed, but I think Claude Giroux is doing his research on Ottawa."
Originally from Hearst, Ontario, Giroux would like to be closer to his family and friends. That's why, according to Friedman, he would like to sign with the Ottawa Senators next summer.
The 34-year-old Franco-Ontarian has 42 points in 57 games this season in Philadelphia. If all goes well, he should play his first game with his new team tonight at the Bell Centre against the Canadiens.
